Tobruks at Nieuwpoort and Ramskapelle

Updated September 10 2007, February 12 2008.

Two Tobruks can be found along the old railway line from Ramskapelle to Nieuwpoort.  The one at Ramskapelle is mostly made of brick and has become victim of vandalism and erosion.  It is now restored and I believe it once belonged to the field battery which is nearby.
The one at Nieuwpoort is well preserved and entirely made of concrete.  This one has also been cleaned up.

NGI map.  The two Tobruks on the Google Earth maps are number 4 and 7.
The other numbers are locations of other artifacts which can be found.

Tobruk and Field Battery at Ramskapelle

At the moment I don't have much information about the field battery.  This Tobruk, which is mainly made in brick stone is close to the old railway leading to Nieuwpoort, it probably belongs to the field battery nearby because there's an trench leading to it.  The trench however is sealed of by the farmer land however.  I hope to add more information soon.  I found a few non standard bunkers and 4 gun emplacements.
